CREATIVE THERAPY FOR CREATIVE MINDS

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.”

Session Approach

I have found that most people possess the necessary tools to improve their quality of life and simply need someone else to highlight them.

My approach incorporates a variety of methods including cognitive, behavioral, psychodynamic, exposures, and mindfulness/sensory techniques. I have a clinical and creative background and use an experiential and intuitive approach to help clients develop the best possible relationships with themselves and others. I have a warm, direct style and utilize humor, when appropriate, to explore challenges and to collaborate on ways to live one’s most fulfilled life.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY

Building Together

In individual sessions, we will work together and explore current challenges that prevent you from meeting individual, relationship, and/or work-related goals. I have a creative therapeutic approach that utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities, depending on the presenting issue or desired change or goal. I also provide meal support and outing exposures.

FAMILY THERAPY

Relational

Each family has its own unique way of interacting and communication style. Through family sessions, we will explore your family dynamic and hierarchy, and how it functions. I utilize Structural Family Therapy and Family Systems Therapy.

COUPLES THERAPY

Joining

When intimate partners feel stuck in negative patterns and their emotional needs go unmet, their relationship becomes strained. Emotional expression and contact reduces distress and strengthens connections. I utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to explore your emotions and related needs. The goal is couples will learn how to interact in more loving, responsive, and emotionally connected ways.
